Language, Reading and Spelling Term 3

Trinity is working hard on her sentence structure, punctuation and sentence parts.  She still needs work on identifying the complete verbs but she has a great attitude and works diligently in her language class.

In test 7 Trinity has shown an excellent improvement in her penmanship.  I am pleased with her results as well.

Trinity's spelling is quite advanced for her so I am happy that she is learning from it and able to memorize a good portion of the words.  She is working on making her manuscript exceptional.  She is not naturally a tidy writer so I am very pleased with her great effort.  I tested her, verbally, on this list and she only missed four of the words.

Kyler is reading at a higher level than the grade 2 reading books that came with ABeka.  He reads Tin Tin, Geronimo Stilton, Usborne nature books and encyclopedias whenever he has spare time.  Kyler is ready to read longer novels so we are starting to order them from the library this week.

He has exceeded my expectations for spelling, phonics, and punctuation.  Kyler can also form complete sentences in a creative way.
