Writing, Art and Bookmaking class

Trinity has been taking a course that has the end result of a hard covered book written, illustrated, bound, and covered by her.

Here she is doing some watercolor painting for the illustrations in Humphrey and the Evacuees.

She finished her very first 'mock-up' which is a step in planning out the text and illustration positioning, using a stack of practice pages and photo copies of her work.  She will do a final 'mock-up' and then have it printed on good quality paper.  Her hope is to sell a few copies at market this summer, after she has made a bunch for her loved ones of course :)

 The Modpodge made the paint smear a bit, but it still turned out great.  Notice the stitched binding.  Fantastic!
